It's just not quite as heavy as I need, but it's my fault for not checking first. Price is excellent, though. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Jim Dunlop 220 Dun Chrom Steel Slide Med (Electronics) im a guitarist whos been playing for a few years, and i like doing all kinds of music. a guitar slide is used mostly in blues, and some rock guitarists use it occasionally like jimmy page, eric clapton, jeff beck, joe perry. i wanted to try it, and this was the first guitar slide i saw when i looked for one. its cheap, works great, plays anything well. i figured out some techniques on my own, then talked to my guitar teacher. slides are cool, and i learned some things about blues and some other licks. cool product - get it. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Jim Dunlop 220 Dun Chrom Steel Slide Med (Electronics) Sweet "twangy" sound that is a flash from the past of steel lap guitars. I have a ceramic and this steel slide. Each has a unique sound. The steel as expected has more of brighter twang. When I change my strings, I know that I'll get some differences in tonal quality, but hey, experimenting for that sound that reaches us is what keeps all of us buying new toys. |
The distance between thought and execution just vanished. Think it, and your fingers are already doing it because your pick isn't holding you back. Deeply responsive, with limitless bile and snap, the revolutionary Ultex lets you feel the strings right through the pick. Blues - Unmatched dynamic range gives up raw squeal, bittersweet bends, and everything in between. Silky contours let you color your notes by varying pick angle. Acoustic - Added snap and clarity slices through dense bend mixes. Reel off your most intricate picking patterns at blinding speed, thanks to smooth, flawless edges. Rock - Radical material stands up to vicious pick slides and power chords, but delivers every nuance of that head-spinning solo. Perfect resilience means pure, intense tone with zero warping. Jazz - Heightened sensitivity lets you lee!\" your picking position, freeing you to focus on your next note, Add subtle shading to your parts with precise control over attack. ULTEX ® THE NEW STANDARD.

I use this pick with both my acoustic and my electric guitars(Fender Strat and Gibson Epiphone SG electric and Sigma acoustic). Although, I prefer a slightly weaker pick for my acoustic, so maybe take a look at the .60mm version this pick if you mostly plan on acoustic usage. I highly recommend this pick to beginners and experienced guitarists. By Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Jim Dunlop 421P73 Dun Ultex Plyrs Pk .73/6Pk (Electronics) They are just picks, fast shipping, nice material, not a lot to say about them, they are not the softest nor even the hardest picks out there. Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Jim Dunlop 421P73 Dun Ultex Plyrs Pk .73/6Pk (Electronics) I like this pick. You can't see it in the picture, but it's actually transparent yellow. The pick has a slightly rubbery feel to it, and feels more natural than a Tortex. Unlike a Tortex, the logo does not rub off in your hands. I still like the Jazz III better, but the Ultex is good. |
