5.0 out of 5 stars Love these picks!, February 26, 2012

Admittedly, I'm VERY new to guitar playing. I was so excited when I ordered my first guitar, but the myriad of accessories out there was overwhelming. I opted to get myself some rubber grip medium picks. I was happy with those.. until I bought these.

After following a lesson system online I heard the instructor say that for strumming you should be using .38mm picks - super thin, nearly paper-like. I almost didn't buy them because I thought he was nuts since it seemed to me like you should have something more sturdy(naivete at it's finest).

Once I got these, I gave a nice strum on my guitar and was shocked at the difference in sound it produced compared to my medium picks.

It's beautiful and clear sounding. I just love it and it gave me new inspiration for learning this amazing instrument.

I can't provide any "technical" details on them - I just know that I love them. They don't slip from my fingers.. they don't break.. they sound beautiful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Picks!, July 6, 2010

It comes in a pack of 12 picks. They are really flexible and great for strumming. Very good quality because i've seen other really thin picks that break within weeks of regular use. If you like to do a more controlled picking style you might want thicker picks.

I have enjoyed using these picks. I am a beginning guitar player and using a thin gauge pick like this makes strumming much easier.

5.0 out of 5 stars So far the best I have tried., September 4, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Jim Dunlop 6582 Dunlop Form 65 String Care (Electronics)
I have tried everything on my bass strings and so far this has worked the best. I tore off the felt pad on the applicator and squeeze a small amount on a rag and wipe each string by itself until I see a shine appear on the string. After all 4 bass strings are done I wipe them off again and I get a next to new sound out of them. No cleaner will give you a brand new sound, strings stretch, deaden and wear down. This product gives your strings protection and helps remove the grease and oils left from your fingers and helps maintain the string life. After cleaning you will find that the string has a brighter sound as when they were new. I have been using this product on my strings and have not changed them in months, playing and practicing everyday around 3 to 4 hours. I have tried it all, even acetone and lighter fluid, this is the best and safest thing out there to buy. I would recomend this cleaner to anybody wanting to save on constantly buying sets of strings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best string cleaner ever! BASS players will love this too!, July 12, 2011
This review is from: Jim Dunlop 6582 Dunlop Form 65 String Care (Electronics)
This is the best string cleaner I've used till date. It cleans all dirt, greatly brightens tone. My strings seem to last a lot longer and I leave them on for about a month more than I used to. String corrosion starts to set in much later than before. As for bass players you will instantly notice a huge difference in brightness after using this. (more than guitars) Although this brightness will not last too long, maybe just long enough for a session or a gig.
The lubrication is just right, won't leave your fret board oily and slippery. Everyone I know who's used this loves it!

This item is exactly as described. It's just not quite as heavy as I need, but it's my fault for not checking first. Price is excellent, though.

im a guitarist whos been playing for a few years, and i like doing all kinds of music. a guitar slide is used mostly in blues, and some rock guitarists use it occasionally like jimmy page, eric clapton, jeff beck, joe perry. i wanted to try it, and this was the first guitar slide i saw when i looked for one. its cheap, works great, plays anything well. i figured out some techniques on my own, then talked to my guitar teacher. slides are cool, and i learned some things about blues and some other licks. cool product - get it.

Sweet "twangy" sound that is a flash from the past of steel lap guitars. I have a ceramic and this steel slide. Each has a unique sound. The steel as expected has more of brighter twang. When I change my strings, I know that I'll get some differences in tonal quality, but hey, experimenting for that sound that reaches us is what keeps all of us buying new toys.
